This little giveaway transforms any matte into photo-realistic water.
Two easy-to-follow steps:
1. create your matte
2. drag the preset onto it
Done.
To enhance the effect, add a hidden copy of the raw matte and an adjustment layer underneath your water. Add a Displacement filter to the adjustment layer and set its Displacement Map Layer property to the hidden copy. This will create refraction. You can add a Compound Blur with the same settings to it if you don’t want the background to appear entirely sharp.
